First day of school. Parker is going to the local public preschool and Kaylee is in a neighborhood preschool. They both love it. Every time Parker gets in the car to take him home he thanks me for taking him to school. Cute boy:) Kaylee has only been once but she has had a blast so far.
Just one year ago I was hunched over screaming on the front lawn, just minutes from having my baby Samantha. It was totally worth it. She is now walking, talking and giving hugs and kisses. Happy Birthday my sweet little angel.
Happy Birthday Kaylee Cakes!!! You are a special little girl who will do great things. You make us smile everyday. We love you!

Hapari Tankinis
I haven't really gone grocery shopping so I guess that part was a success. We splurged and got a beautiful painting and it fits so well on our wall in the livingroom. I did learn that I can do anything I need to. Also that I spend to much time obsessing about couponing and getting that free tube of toothpaste. So now I am going to focus on getting the things my family uses for cheaper. We decided to switch to a high deductible health plan so we are saving $400+ dollars a month on insurance. That should help pay off some debt a little faster as well as put some money aside for medical expenses. If you need health insurance I have a brother in law who is GREAT! Well, to sum up I am not doing a no buy month anymore because I didn't want to anymore:)
My side of the family came over for a wonderful Easter dinner. G-ma's house is being remodeled so the usual hangout wasn't going to work. We actually fit quite nicely and enjoyed ourselves. Every-time someone came through the door he asked if they wanted to come up to his room and play. At one point he got the majority up in his room and announced Okay, PLAY! He was thrilled. It was nice to get to talk to everyone. Happy Easter!
PS - It was super great because we got the whole house clean, except my bedroom which I am doing today. So now all I have to do is to try and keep it caught up.
I am sitting in my messy house trying to ignore the dishes. I think the no-buy has been good for our wallet but not so much on my emotional health. I can't stay in the house all day without getting depressed. It is too cold to go outside today so here I sit in my messy house.
Today I went through my freezer and decided on some of the dinners for the month. I am excited about making the baked creamy chicken taquitoes from OurBestBites with some of my frozen chicken. I will make double and freeze half for later in the month. I can plan all my meals because I will need to know what I get in the bountiful baskets before I can plan the week.
I am super excited to focus on some other things this month, like getting my house in order and a good daily routine set.
My goals and rules.
GOAL - to save money and to use up my storage. To prove to myself that I can do it. To focus on more important things.
RULES - No shopping other than 2 gallons of milk per week and a bountiful basket 2x this month.

In the last few days I have been reminded that my babies are growing up. I wish time would slow down a little bit.
Parker's pants are turning into floods. His socks are getting tight. The other day we were over at my moms. I grabbed Parker to tickle him and I could barely hold him down. He is so strong. I told him he had to stop growing. I have a feeling that it is not going to happen. :(
This morning my sweet baby Kaylee was watching Beauty and the Beast and was singing the theme song. She is so smart.
Samantha is meeting so many new milestones. She'll be 7months in a few days. She can sit, crawl, climb stairs, stand up to couch, wave bye-bye, says mama and dada, likes to bang on things, she has 2 teeth and is currently trying to push more through, she is eating all sorts of new food using her little pincher fingers, she loves it when we sing, she is just growing up so much.

This is my favorite cookie.
Chewy Crunch Cookies
* 1 stick butter (softened)
* 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
* 1/4 cup sugar
* 1 egg
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 1 cup flour
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 3 1/2 cups Honey Bunches of Oats cereal (blended to 2 cups)
* 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
* 1/2 cup toffee bits
Preheat oven to 350°. Sil-pat covered cookie sheet. In large bowl cream butter and sugars. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
Sift flour and baking powder together; stir into creamed mixture until well combined. Add cereal and chocolate pieces and mix well. Drop by full teaspoon onto prepared cookie sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly brown. Let stand 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
She thinks she can follow us up the stairs. She can't go any farther than the first step but that doesn't stop her from trying.
